About the Role

The Position The Field Analytics & Insights Director - Northeast Region at Genentech is responsible for delivering impactful, data-driven insights that guide key business decisions within a field leadership team across the Genentech portfolio. The role involves collaborating closely with Customer Engagement and Field Medical Leadership to uncover critical business needs, align analytical workstreams with strategic priorities, and embed analytics products into workflows to support strategic initiatives. The position emphasizes leveraging deep analytical, technical, and business expertise to provide clear, actionable recommendations that drive patient and organizational value, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise stakeholders including Customer Engagement and Field Medical Leadership Teams to define clear, impactful business priorities and develop action plans.
  • Develop strategic options and recommendations by synthesizing findings, connecting insights across therapeutic areas, ecosystems, or analytic domains, and aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Tailor communication to specific audiences, influence senior leaders, and simplify details for stakeholder buy-in.
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable insights by leveraging analytical expertise and deep healthcare subject matter knowledge to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
  • Sense business needs through stakeholder interactions, drive outcomes amidst uncertainty, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Catalyze and embed new solutions and ways of working into the business.
  • Help teammates build proficiency in analytical capabilities through leadership and mentorship.
  • Manage all levels of stakeholders independently with limited or no managerial guidance.
  • Provide expertise, strategic planning support, and oversee the evolution of analytic capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, key questions, and priorities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Perform custom analyses using appropriate techniques to address business challenges.
  • Contribute to organizational improvement by sharing best practices and enhancing workflow efficiency.
  • Support the adoption of analytical products by participating in training, user testing, and providing feedback to ensure integration into workflows.
  • Guide offshore teams to maintain alignment and high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead department and function-wide initiatives within Data, Analytics & AI.
  • Adapt quickly within a modular team structure to deliver insights across various business domains including Payer, Provider, Patient, and Market Geography/Expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 8 years of work experience in management consulting, strategy, or other analytical roles.
  • Growth Mindset and results-oriented attitude.
  • Experience synthesizing concise summaries focused on key insights for business decisions.
  • Comfort dealing with uncertainty in a highly-matrixed organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business travel may be required.

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer or Physical Sciences or related field.
  • MBA or Graduate-level Degree.
  • Experience in biopharma, healthcare environment, managed care, customer engagement/sales, marketing, and/or patient access.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical product development and/or commercialization.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools (Excel, Python, SQL, Dataiku, etc.).
  • Mastery in exploring large datasets, identifying insights, and building narratives.
  • Understanding of market landscape and insights across multiple primary data sources.
  • Expertise in healthcare customer subject matter and analytics, insights, and strategic advisory across go-to-market and access topics.
  • Proven leadership, project management, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant field (as specified above).
  • Experience in healthcare or biopharma preferred.
