Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within financial services companies.
  • Understand clients' business objectives, pain points, and opportunities to position Teradata as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with Industry Experts, Solution Engineers, and Inside Sales Representatives to design and present data analytics solutions aligned with client goals.
  • Articulate the value proposition of Teradata's products and services to meet client needs effectively.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve New Logo sales, revenue targets, and services sales objectives within the financial services sector.
  • Identify opportunities for reference selling, upselling, and cross-selling to attain new customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, challenges, and innovations to provide thought leadership and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain a detailed and accurate pipeline of opportunities using CRM tools, track progress, forecast revenue, and manage client communication.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development processes, working with legal and finance teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including solution architects, data scientists, consultants, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide insights and feedback on market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to contribute to product and service improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of software sales experience.
  • Proven success in cloud, data, and analytics-focused product sales, particularly within the financial services sector.
  • Experience with data analytics, IT solutions, or consulting is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build and nurture relationships at executive levels.
  • Results-driven mindset focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Effective negotiation, contract management, and deal-closing skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

Nice to Have

  • MBA or relevant advanced degree.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2+ years of software sales experience.
