About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data availability and surface data sets, understanding the underlying implementation.
• Develop analyses that identify trends and performance gaps for Fox News & Fox Business digital platforms.
• Identify cohorts and trends related to user engagement across platforms, devices, and topics.
• Analyze productivity metrics to uncover opportunities and areas for streamlining.
• Use data modeling techniques and tools to analyze large databases and complex data sets to derive insights and predictive analytics.
• Understand data governance and implement best practices to ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with the database engineering team to enhance data collection and identify new data sets for reporting.
• Assist staff with database queries, statistical analysis, and streamline data reporting practices.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Computer Science.
• 1-5 years of experience in digital analytics, preferably in a fast-paced media or entertainment environment.
• Experience with advanced and predictive analytics in a digital environment is desired.
• Advanced knowledge of database applications and management, SQL and/or SAS.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Effective interpersonal skills to work across multiple groups and levels.
• Ability to remain productive in a team-oriented, fast-paced, highly-matrixed environment.
• Positive, people-oriented, energetic attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel functions, formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
• Experience translating 1st & 3rd party data such as Nielsen, ComScore, Adobe Analytics, Optimizely, social analytics.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Looker and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Computer Science.
