Freelance Social Media Associate Producer, "Inside Edition"

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Recommend which clips from each episode are most likely to resonate on social platforms and determine the best treatment per platform.
• Produce and edit videos that will engage audiences on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, X, and YouTube using in-platform tools and features.
• Recognize moments with the potential to gain traction and pen SEO-friendly captions to accompany social media posts.
• Write shareable, concise, and contextually appropriate captions and titles that align with the Inside Edition brand.
• Utilize editing tools like Adobe Premiere and in-platform text tools to accurately subtitle videos for social media.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of social media or newsroom experience.
• Deep familiarity with social media platforms, audiences, and best practices.
• Strong writing skills.
• Strong producing and editing skills, with the ability to produce multiple social packages daily.
• Ability to work well with a team under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Capcut and ability to subtitle videos using editing tools like Adobe Premiere and in-platform tools.
• Degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, or related field.

• Active social media profiles demonstrating platform expertise.
• Experience with producing and editing videos for social media platforms.
