About the Role

The Rapid City Rush Hockey Team is seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Game Day Social Media Intern. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced sports environment, contributing to the Rush brand through social media content. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and have a working knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling programs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Community Relations and Social Engagement with live coverage of home and away games on social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
Capture behind-the-scenes content including warmups, fan interactions, and in-game moments
Create engaging stories, reels, and posts in real time
Help with post-game content creation, including video recaps and final score graphics
Communicate with game day photographer to ensure the proper delivery of game day photos to the appropriate parties and platforms

Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, sport management, or a related field
Familiarity with social media platforms and content trends
Experience with live coverage preferred
Knowledge of or interest in hockey
Strong writing and communication skills
