About the Role

This U.S. based position is for a General Field Sales & Account Manager at Schneider Electric, responsible for developing and selling building solutions to end users. The role involves evangelizing the Buildings of the Future story, creating solutions through modernization and digitization, and maintaining relationships with customers to identify and propose services related to building automation, security, energy efficiency, and related areas. The position emphasizes a strong background in building management systems, HVAC controls, electronic security, and familiarity with the construction market and IoT technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as customers' trusted advisor by developing and implementing consultative sales strategies and tactics for individual accounts.
  • Analyze customer needs and develop maintenance and modernization plan options for proposals.
  • Prepare sales quotations and proposals, collaborating with inside sales and internal teams to determine installation labor and material requirements.
  • Utilize Account Management Plan to expand Schneider Electric offers to current customers.
  • Work with Digital Sales team to identify potential service sales opportunities and grow sales within dormant and low volume accounts.
  • Process and analyze feasibility assessments and bid/contract documents.
  • Perform take-off and estimate costs of prospective service sales opportunities.
  • Attend various project meetings including hand-offs and design reviews.
  • Coordinate with operations team to ensure service is executed as proposed.

Requirements

  • 4-year engineering/technical degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Strong background in building management systems, HVAC controls, or electronic security (card access, video surveillance, intrusion).
  • Familiarity with the construction market and local competitive landscape.
  • Strong presentation and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of smart buildings, integrated building technologies, and IoT is a plus.
  • Understanding of purchasing processes and end user market influencers.

Qualifications
