About the Role

The Global Marketing Director, Oncology at Amgen plays a critical role in driving strategy and execution for products across all stages of their lifecycle within the oncology therapeutic area. The role involves developing global launch strategies, maximizing product value, and supporting broad strategic initiatives to expand patient impact. This position reports to the Global Marketing Lead for xaluritamig and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and local markets to optimize commercial strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy and execution for products at all stages of the product lifecycle, including peri-launch assets.
  • Develop global launch strategies and anticipate lifecycle management opportunities to enhance customer experience and competitive position.
  • Work closely with program teams, integrated brand teams, and local markets to integrate global and local insights into commercial strategies.
  • Support broad strategic initiatives such as referral dynamics, patient insights, patient-centric development, and Patient Impact Expansion.
  • Gather deep insights into the customer, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers to develop a commercial strategy for key indications.
  • Contribute to global brand planning, competitive insights, patient-centric deliverables, Target Product Profiles, forecasts, and strategies to enhance program value.
  • Communicate the commercial vision for disease states and assigned brands.
  • Ensure all marketing deliverables are on time, of expected quality, and aligned with organizational processes.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with 4 years of marketing experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of marketing experience, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of marketing experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing global marketing and commercial strategies for pipeline products.
  • Experience launching multiple products across diverse therapeutic areas, especially in Oncology and immuno-oncology.
  • Strong understanding of science, market trends, and future opportunities in oncology.
  • Experience in “beyond the molecule” value drivers such as patient services and CDx/IVD space.
  • Prior experience in global commercial roles and working outside the United States is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of broad global market dynamics, market access, pricing, and reimbursement issues.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment and managing global projects.

Nice to Have

  • An MBA coupled with a life sciences educational background.
  • Broad therapeutic area expertise supporting multiple disease states and product lifecycle stages.
  • Experience supporting partnered assets or programs.
  • Experience in tactical, local-market marketing roles.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to work effectively with international colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree with 4+ years of marketing experience, or Master's degree with 7+ years, or Bachelor's degree with 9+ years.
  • MBA and life sciences background preferred.
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical industry, especially in oncology.
  • Proven success in launching and repositioning therapeutic products.
