Job Description

About the Role

This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ office near Portland, Oregon. The expectation is for employees to be in-office 3 days or more per week, depending on business need. The Senior Manager- Global Product Line Management leads a category unit in creating seasonal product strategies while supporting long-range planning. They lead a PLM Team on the development of seasonal line plans and ensure successful Go-to-Market activities globally. The role involves leading cross-functional teams to develop and drive a unified vision of the product line that meets consumer needs and drives profitable growth. The manager mentors, coaches, and guides team members to drive product excellence and team performance that supports company growth initiatives worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute mid- and long-term strategies for the business through marketplace and consumer research to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build partnerships and gain support from key stakeholders in Design, Finance, Planning, Marketing, Sales, and Manufacturing to ensure aligned priorities.
  • Own the development and creation of a seasonal line plan, including big ideas, growth drivers, and competitive pricing analysis aligned with strategic direction to meet or exceed revenue and productivity metrics.
  • Manage team efforts across all global waypoint and Go-to-Market activities, ensuring calendar deliverables and deadlines are met.
  • Support the development of team members, providing timely feedback, career growth support, recognition, and constructive feedback.
  • Provide leadership and vision to cross-functional product teams, partnering with peer leaders to ensure strategic execution and accountability.
  • Identify best practices to improve communication, operational efficiency, processes, tools, and maintain seamless working relationships.
  • Demonstrate effective conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • Work cross-functionally on process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years product line management experience in the sportswear, outdoor, or action sports industry.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a management role, leading and developing a team.
  • Experience managing both individual contributors and managers, including global teams or multiple teams doing similar work.
  • Strong business management, product management skills, and demonstrated financial acumen.
  • Deep understanding of the consumer, retail environment, and competitive marketplace.
  • Thorough knowledge of apparel product creation and commercialization processes, with good working knowledge of Sales, Planning, Marketing, and Retail Merchandising.
  • Strong leadership and diplomacy skills to guide teams and facilitate collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems of moderate complexity.
  • Effective working relationships with internal and external contacts domestically and internationally.
