Job Description

About the Role

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact. To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures-and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay current on new product releases and feature updates, assessing relevance and incorporating them into the product backlog to ensure alignment with team goals and user needs.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and emerging market scans, particularly across GenAI collaboration tools, to inform product strategy and innovation.
  • Contribute to strategic planning efforts, including drafting initiative memos and supporting coordination and execution of Big Room Planning (BRP) sessions.
  • Support backlog grooming and sprint readiness by writing and refining user stories, validating business and technical requirements, and ensuring clarity and completeness for development teams.
  • Manage and synthesize user feedback, adoption metrics, and behavioral insights to inform prioritization, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to data-driven product decisions.
  • Track, analyze, and report on platform KPIs—including usage, performance, accessibility, and user satisfaction—surfacing insights and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Coordinate and execute user acceptance testing (UAT); troubleshoot, document, and escalate bugs and usability issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide guidance and support to end users by answering tool-related questions, offering best practice recommendations, and helping them optimize their experience and efficiency with product features.
  • Support the creation of user enablement content such as training decks, how-to guides, onboarding materials, and knowledge articles to drive adoption and ease of use across a global user base.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, data analytics, change and communications, security, and other stakeholders to support smooth product releases, enablement, and alignment on shared goals.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years of experience in a product analyst, business analyst, or junior product role-ideally within digital platforms or collaboration tools environments.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Planner, and the broader Microsoft 365 suite—or a strong interest in learning them.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira or similar tools for backlog and workflow management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to platform adoption, user behavior, and system performance to generate actionable insights.
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to translate technical topics into user-friendly language across written and verbal formats.
  • A curious mindset and active interest in emerging collaboration trends, including generative AI.
  • A proactive, collaborative attitude with a growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact team setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business or information technology.
