About the Role

Google Marketing Platform - Marketing Tech & Data Consultant at Caterpillar is a role focused on supporting enterprise growth by deploying and supporting Caterpillar's Google Marketing Platform and Google Analytics Suite. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply technical and business knowledge while consulting with industry & segment business partners, site owners, dealers, suppliers and other teams.
  • Coordinate deployment processes and gather requirements related to Caterpillar's Google Marketing Platform - Google Analytics Suite capabilities, ensuring business needs are met.
  • Interact extensively with digital team members, product owners, data owners, and analytics teams to understand capabilities, integration points, and development status, providing requirements back to enterprise teams.
  • Create, implement, and maintain processes including intake with business partners and handoffs with architecture, engineering, and development teams.
  • Evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement process and governance solutions.
  • Document meeting notes, reports, and high-level requirements for review by Product Managers or Product Owners.
  • Gather business requirements, perform analysis, and create Epics, Features, and User stories for engineering teams.
  • Initiate digital projects to identify linkages and synergies across business units, industries, and dealers.
  • Drive collaboration, coordination, training, communication, and alignment among teams and partners.
  • Monitor project deliverables for deadlines and completeness, conduct audits, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Conduct meetings, create communications and training, and present findings and deliverables.
  • Assist business partners in identifying issues, coordinating solutions with architecture, engineering, and development teams, and providing strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of values and practices that prioritize customer needs and satisfaction.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Technical knowledge of Google Marketing Platform and experience with digital marketing technologies including Salesforce Sales & Marketing Clouds and Hightouch.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, GCP BigQuery, Looker, and data analysis strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Azure DevOps.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and resolve conflicts.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Project/program management and change management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in eBusiness, digital marketing, analytics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Track record of leading/supporting projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience working with onshore/offshore teams.
  • Experience with digital marketing technologies including Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce Clouds, and Hightouch.
  • Advanced Google Analytics reporting skills; familiarity with GCP BigQuery, Looker, and data analysis strategies.
