The Philadelphia Flyers are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant to support the Communications department and media relations efforts, focusing on publicity and off-ice news, providing experience in public relations, community storytelling, and behind-the-scenes sports team operations.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with writing and editing press releases, media alerts, and other press materials
Help plan and execute press opportunities around off-ice team events
Support coordination of media requests and public appearances
Assist in preparing background materials and talking points for spokespersons
Track media mentions and compile daily press clips and coverage summaries
Maintain and update media contact lists and publicity calendars
Help with logistics and staffing during press conferences, community events, and other team appearances
Contribute to storytelling efforts that highlight the team's community involvement and player personalities
Ensure regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including working nights and weekends as needed
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
