About the Role

The Ads Marketplace team at DoorDash is responsible for optimizing the delivery and performance of ads across the platform, balancing advertiser outcomes and consumer experience. The team operates across core areas including Inventory, Economics, Quality, and Formats, and is part of a rapidly growing retail media network that has surpassed a $1B run rate. The Group Product Manager (GPM) will lead a team of Product Managers to scale the ads business responsibly, focusing on sustainable growth, improving iROAS, and delivering long-term value to advertisers through innovation in pricing, ad quality, and personalization systems. This role involves cross-functional collaboration across product, engineering, data science, sales, and marketing, with a focus on strategic thinking, technical depth, and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the core product and economics strategy of DoorDash's ads business.
  • Scale the platform by improving auction dynamics and launching new ad formats.
  • Own ad relevance and quality, ensuring users see the right ad at the right time.
  • Build personalization systems that dynamically determine ad load and placement across surfaces.
  • Partner with teams across the company to define how ads and promotions coexist, delivering maximum value for merchants.
  • Work on high-impact products that directly influence ads revenue, merchant ROI, and user engagement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2 years leading PM teams.
  • Experience with Ads, Promotions, or Merchandising on consumer platforms and/or in high-scale marketplaces.
  • Strong strategic thinking and operational execution skills, with a track record of shipping high-impact features.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience leading executive-level reviews.
  • Deep empathy for users and passion for solving complex, real-world problems.
