About the Role

The Ads Marketplace team at DoorDash is responsible for optimizing the delivery and performance of ads across the platform. Their mission is to balance advertiser outcomes and consumer experience by driving efficient, scalable, and high-performing ad placements. The team operates across four core areas: Inventory, Economics, Quality, and Formats, and is part of a rapidly growing retail media network that has surpassed a $1B run rate. The Group Product Manager (GPM) will lead product strategy and execution to scale the ads business responsibly and sustainably, focusing on improving iROAS, ad quality, personalization, and marketplace metrics, working cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, sales, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the core product and economics strategy of DoorDash's ads business.
  • Scale the platform by improving auction dynamics and launching new ad formats.
  • Own ad relevance and quality, ensuring users see the right ad at the right time.
  • Build personalization systems that dynamically determine ad load and placement across surfaces.
  • Partner with teams across the company to define how ads and promotions coexist, delivering maximum value for merchants.
  • Work on high-impact products that directly influence ads revenue, merchant ROI, and user engagement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 2 years leading PM teams.
  • Experience with Ads, Promotions, or Merchandising on consumer platforms and/or in high-scale marketplaces.
  • Strong strategic thinking and operational execution skills, with a track record of shipping high-impact features.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience leading executive-level reviews.
  • Deep empathy for users and passion for solving complex, real-world problems.

  • Experience with auction dynamics, ad relevance, and personalization systems.
