About the Role

BMC Software is hiring a sales-focused data leader to deliver on a strategic mandate from the Chief Revenue Officer: build and execute the go-to-market data strategy that powers the company's global revenue engine. This role is central to enabling BMC's transformation into a data-driven, AI-enabled sales organization, where insights—not just information—drive smarter decisions, higher productivity, and consistent growth. The successful candidate will partner with senior sales leadership, oversee critical sales and marketing platforms, and act as the center of excellence for sales insights across BMC, contributing to the company's and their own success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the CRO and senior sales leadership to translate strategic business priorities into a unified GTM data strategy that drives predictability, productivity, and growth.
  • Define and operationalize the leading indicators of sales success, embedding them into leadership dashboards, sales management routines, and frontline execution practices.
  • Design and govern the end-to-end GTM data architecture spanning Salesforce, Aviso, and other sales/marketing platforms to ensure integrated, scalable, and business-ready insights.
  • Build and implement a Sales Data Playbook that enables sales teams, managers, and partners worldwide to act on consistent, data-led guidance.
  • Lead regular, data-driven performance and strategy reviews with sales and cross-functional leadership, ensuring insights continuously inform decisions and in-quarter execution.
  • Ensure data integrity, trust, and accountability across all GTM systems, giving leaders confidence to act quickly and decisively.

Requirements

  • Proven record of partnering directly with a CRO and senior sales leadership to design and deliver enterprise-wide sales data strategies.
  • Experience building and scaling unified GTM data architectures, connecting tools, processes, and insights into cohesive frameworks that improve sales performance.
  • Strategic consulting expertise combined with execution leadership, balancing vision with hands-on delivery and adoption at scale.
  • Fluency in Salesforce, Aviso, and other analytics, planning, and productivity platforms, with the ability to design and integrate scalable solutions.
  • Ability to leverage AI-driven analytics and predictive tools to turn insights into real-time, forward-looking actions that drive execution and revenue outcomes.
  • Strong collaborative communication skills and trusted influence, confident in engaging both executive leadership and frontline sales management.
