About the Role

MGA Entertainment is a global leader in designing and delivering innovative toys, entertainment, and experiences that inspire imagination and creativity. The company owns a diverse portfolio of brands including Bratz, L.O.L. Surprise!, Little Tikes, Rainbow High, and more. The role involves building a lifestyle brand through product innovation, with a focus on entering the beauty space with Bratz Beauty. This is a high-impact, end-to-end product development position that shapes a new beauty brand from inception and influences global trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape the Bratz Beauty product vision and innovation roadmap across core and future categories.
  • Forecast trends, map whitespace, and translate consumer and cultural insights into product concepts with global relevance.
  • Build and pitch new product ideas that fuse formula, packaging, and positioning with emotional and cultural resonance.
  • Lead formula and shade development in partnership with top-tier labs and manufacturers.
  • Own timelines, COGs, gross margin targets, and forecasting inputs.
  • Manage all stages from concept to production, including RFP/vendor selection, testing, QA, claims, and regulatory steps.
  • Collaborate with creative, design, marketing, and sourcing to ensure 360° alignment across product and storytelling.
  • Stay up to date on beauty trends, consumer insights, and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the product expert across internal teams and external partners.
  • Consult on packaging componentry and innovation, working hand-in-hand with design and operations.
  • Influence brand positioning, claims, naming, and go-to-market messaging to ensure products deliver both creatively and commercially.
  • Provide insight and input on packaging structure, componentry, and design.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years in beauty product development with proven end-to-end launch experience.
  • Experience with companies such as L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, Unilever, or comparable background preferred.
  • Strong network of global vendors, contract manufacturers, and formulation labs.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, combining marketing and creation with business execution.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys building from scratch.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on excellence in color calibration, cost modeling, and technical aspects.
  • Deep technical knowledge of beauty formulas, ingredients, packaging, trends, brand storytelling, and go-to-market strategies.
