This position reports to the Local Division Manager and involves leading product management activities within the US System Drives Division, focusing on portfolio development, strategy implementation, market analysis, and team leadership in a hybrid work model based in New Berlin, WI.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, monitor, and develop a product portfolio for the US System Drives Division, managing its entire lifecycle and ensuring product profitability.
Lead continuous business analysis of existing portfolio items and potential new items, contributing to decisions on obsolescence and end-of-life in collaboration with Global Product Managers.
Translate global product management and local division strategy into the local product portfolio through market and customer segmentation.
Analyze and track market, technology, competitor, and customer requirements to determine competitive attributes, prioritization, and value proposition.
Create and oversee the local product business plan, ensuring alignment with global strategy, defining the business model, and approving the pricing model.
Manage challenging customer escalations and non-conformities, and contribute to local product certification and factory approval processes.
Lead, motivate, and develop the local Product Management team to meet the P&L targets of the division, ensuring proper organization, staffing, and skill development.

Requirements

BS/MS Degree
12+ years of professional experience in sales & marketing and product management
In-depth knowledge of drives markets and applications
Experience in drives or power electronics applications
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Existing work authorization to work for ABB in the US

Nice to Have

Experience with global product management strategies
Leadership experience in technical product teams

Qualifications

Educational background with a BS/MS Degree
