About the Role

The Ice Arena Visual Media Specialist at Bowling Green State University is responsible for designing, creating, and publishing marketing materials for the Slater Family Ice Arena across print and digital mediums. The role involves collaborating with the Athletic Department, capturing event photos and videos, and staying current with media trends to enhance patron engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and implementing print materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, etc.
Designing and implementing web and social media graphics.
Monitoring and evaluating new tools and trends to keep up with current media for increased patron engagement.
Attending events as needed to take photos and videos.
Providing photographic coverage at Slater Family Ice Arena events and activities.
File organization and storage within the Digital Asset Management System (DAM).
Maintaining content management system utilization.
Working collaboratively with other members of the Athletic Department and BGSU.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact well with customers, internal clients, colleagues, and the general public.
Knowledge and proficient ability to use all current Adobe Creative Suite software.
Professional, self-motivated, and responsible with the ability to act independently, take initiative, and achieve results.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software.
