About the Role

The Ice Cream Associate Director of CD Analytics & Insights at Unilever's Magnum Ice Cream division is responsible for ensuring the US Customer Development function has the appropriate data, analytics, and tools to achieve sales ambitions. The role involves building and leading a data analytics team to enhance Magnum's selling capabilities across sales, category management, shopper marketing, and channel strategy. Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into well designed and executed technology products, focusing on promotion optimization, syndicated and retailer data, demand forecasting, shopper marketing, digital commerce, and sales reporting.
  • Liaise with local and global business and technology teams to define, manage, and enhance Magnum's Customer Development analytics capabilities.
  • Guide the team in ad hoc advanced analytic analyses using data science, machine learning, and AI to uncover insights that generate tangible business value.
  • Manage allocation of data analytics team across multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management and negotiation of retailer data contracts with third-party providers.
  • Maintain awareness of market offerings for new third-party data and tools.
  • Support the Customer Development Leadership Team (CDLT) in achieving key sales KPIs.
  • Develop tool adoption plans and facilitate training for different user groups.

Requirements

  • Technical aptitude and ability to lead teams toward business-value focused technology solutions.
  • Strong analytic ability and intellectual curiosity.
  • Preparedness to develop a deep understanding of business operations and needs for the Customer Development function.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project estimation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the use and management of retailer and syndicated data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams both locally and globally.
  • Ability to communicate and present complex topics clearly and compellingly to business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, PySpark, DAX, and SQL.
  • Experience using tools like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Alteryx.
  • Experience leveraging data sources such as Circana, Nielsen, panel data, and retailer data.
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end data products for a business-focused audience.
  • Experience managing analytics teams and working in a consumer goods organization.
  • Familiarity with Digital Commerce and Shopper Marketing data solutions.
  • Experience applying data science, machine learning, and AI to business problems in Consumer Goods organizations.
  • Experience with retailer data platforms such as Scintilla, SymphonyAI, 1010data, and 84.51 Stratum.
