About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director in Cybersecurity as part of Identity Access Management. This high-impact engineering role focuses on leading the transformation of the Access Administration engineering function within the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) portfolio, which spans over 30 products. The role involves guiding a team from daily operations toward innovation, shaping roadmaps, and ensuring seamless support for existing systems while building future capabilities. The ideal candidate is passionate about leading world-class teams, driving large-scale transformation, and making a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a global team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • 6+ years of Identity Governance and Administration experience
  • 4+ years of Management experience
  • Strong knowledge and expertise with Identity Governance Toolsets such as IBM Tivoli, Saviynt, Oracle Identity Manager
  • Deep IAM and IGA domain expertise and strong engineering background
  • Experience supporting cloud transformation and working with SaaS solutions, especially Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
  • Technical engineering leader comfortable with system design and building highly reliable, scalable, and performant systems
  • Experience with IAM tools and solutions
  • Experience with ETL tools and data transformation
  • Excellent knowledge of operational and data warehouse databases
  • Experience with IGA connectors, reconciliation, and application onboarding
  • Experience with Privileged Access Management

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience in leading the implementation of IAM tools and migrating between them
  • Strong hands-on experience with IAM tools and solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of access requests, approvals, provisioning, deprovisioning, and access certification
