About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in identification and analysis of master data requirements to drive data models and data structures.
• Provide technical guidance for development of logical and physical database.
• Identify business rules that govern how data is transformed, integrated and used.
• Collaborate with IES Technical Architect to develop data management strategies.
• Collaborate with ITS Chief Technology Office (CTO) to align with enterprise standards.
• Confer with internal and external partners ensuring technology decisions and data designs align with overall stewardship model.
• Drive continuous improvement in data management solution architecture processes and practices.
• Participate in technical discussions with state, local, and vendor implementation teams and on the delivery of MDM, IAM, cleanup, and conversion proofs of concept.

Requirements

• Eight (8) years in IT and business/industry experience providing architectural design, development, and deployment of complex software systems including data architecture, design and modeling.
• Three (3) years of experience working in multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, including senior level management and key stakeholders.
• Experience with data architecture, design, and modeling.
• Knowledge of business rules governing data transformation, integration, and usage.
• Ability to collaborate with technical teams and develop data management strategies.

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience in data architecture and designs across multiple IT functional areas.
• Experience working on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple disparate data sets.
• Knowledge and experience with master data management standards related to metadata, cleansing, and data quality standards.
• Experience with master/reference data source identification, master data acquisition, metadata master hub management, integration, and access.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture documentation, business process modeling, data flow diagrams, ER diagrams, dimensional data models, and event modeling.
