About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on issues, complaints, and project activities.
• Provide strategic communications support.
• Execute the stakeholder engagement plan.
• Identify and strategize solutions for key and contentious issues.
• Draft presentation materials including PowerPoint presentations and briefing materials.
• Draft and review notifications such as Traffic Advisories, Construction Notices, and Press Releases.
• Support website content management, ensuring timely updates and document uploads (e.g., traffic advisories, announcements, FAQ sheets, meeting information, schedules).
• Support social media content development including messaging, captions, graphics.
• Develop and disseminate Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Fact Sheet documents.
• Coordinate media events, press tours, and milestone celebrations.
• Facilitate dissemination of communications to both internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate with contractors to implement communication protocols.
• Coordinate project-related community engagement initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all public communications.
• Coordinate and organize public outreach events (e.g., Open Houses, Workshops, Public Hearings).
• Assist the LAWA team in identifying and connecting with local business and community stakeholders, and the general public.
• Work onsite at client locations to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Planning, journalism, marketing, or related fields.
• 10 years or more relevant experience.

Nice to Have

• Relevant Professional Licensure & Certifications are preferred.
