About the Role

CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Public Relations/Social Media Specialist to serve on a potential contract supporting the US Coast Guard Office of Governmental Public Affairs (CG-092). The role involves managing media inquiries, drafting press releases, creating social media content, and coordinating visual and advertising campaigns. The position is contingent on contract award and offers an anticipated salary range of $80,000 - $105,000. Key Responsibilities

Tracking, managing and logging incoming and outgoing media inquiries.
Compiling and distributing press clips on a daily basis.
Drafting press releases, public affairs guidance, and other media relations products.
Writing copy for regular social media posts for all social media platforms.
Creating and curating social media content based on appropriate positioning and posture of USCG portfolios and programs.
Updating social media content library, including developing content based on planned editorial calendar.
Coordinating graphic creation with designer to complete visual needs on deadline.
Working with creative team to implement paid social media advertising campaigns.
Managing a regular response cadence to customer comments on social media platforms.
Identifying opportunities to optimize social strategies and improve performance based on feedback and current trends.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree AND ten (10) years of experience relevant to public relations/social media management OR Master's Degree AND five (5) years of experience relevant to public relations/social media management.
Understanding and experience with media relations and associated analytics with industry standard media metrics software (e.g., Cision, Meltwater).
Understanding and experience with closed captioning and Section 508 accessibility to ensure all social media posts are accessible to people with disabilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
Professional proficiency in English.
Proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice to Have

Degree in business, communications, media, or related field.
Direct experience supporting the US Coast Guard.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in relevant fields
10 years of experience (for Bachelor's) or 5 years (for Master's) in public relations/social media management
Ability to pass federal security clearance process
