Job Description

About the Role

At Capture6, we are building out large-scale infrastructure utilizing Direct Air Capture (DAC) solutions to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Through leveraging co-benefits, we pursue industrial integrations where carbon removal can enable transformative gains for industry. As we expand our international footprint, we are exploring project opportunities in new North American regions, and are seeking a high-caliber intern to support this effort. This role is a unique opportunity to engage in real-world research, strategic planning, and business development activities that will help define the future of DAC deployment in key emerging markets. You will be at the forefront of scaling breakthrough climate technology through infrastructure innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market, policy, and stakeholder research to assess the feasibility of a DAC project in a targeted region in North America.
  • Map potential sites, customers, required infrastructure, and other enabling conditions for success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams including technology and commercial leads to help shape the project’s business case.
  • Support early engagement with partners and stakeholders.
  • Perform deep dives into regional industrial makeups.
  • Learn about the idiosyncrasies of early-stage project development in carbon dioxide removal (CDR).
  • Analyze relevant regulatory frameworks, climate policy incentives, and infrastructure investment trends across targeted North American regions.
  • Evaluate market drivers for carbon removal, including carbon pricing, offset demand, and clean energy supply.
  • Identify potential project sites based on energy, water, and land availability.
  • Profile key local stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, and industrial partners.
  • Develop a structured opportunity assessment for the new region.
  • Research regional water markets and synthesize findings into actionable insights.
  • Synthesize research into actionable insights through reports and presentations.
  • Search for and assess public funding opportunities for pipeline projects.
  • Support commercial marketing efforts, including case study development and webinar planning.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in management consulting, business development, climate tech, energy, infrastructure, marketing, or public policy.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and synthesis skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Interest in climate innovation, sustainability, and systems-level thinking.
  • Based in the United States and legally authorized to work without sponsorship.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of carbon removal technologies and markets.
  • Familiarity with regional energy and water systems or environmental regulatory frameworks in North America.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement or government relations.
