About the Role

Alliant Insurance is hiring an Internal Marketing Consultant for our Medicare division at Senior Market Sales. This role involves supporting the company's product portfolio, developing marketing plans, and assisting agents to increase revenue and profit. The position is based in Omaha, NE, and combines a base salary with commission, working in-office Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the company's product portfolio by being proficient within product area assignment and familiar with all company products and services.
  • Develop assigned marketing plans and provide service assistance to agents.
  • Handle 50-100 telephone calls per day with agencies and agents on all aspects of assigned products.
  • Recruit, train, service, and assist agents to enable them to produce at the highest level possible.
  • Assist agents with issues including recruit kits for carriers, training, contracting, certification, transactional issues such as electronic signature, telephonic signatures, and app-by-email.
  • Communicate with agents regularly regarding product information, rate changes, and key agent benefits.
  • Monitor compliance with program reporting rules and sales requirements.
  • Provide technical support, sales, and marketing coaching.
  • Identify and cultivate top producers and problem agents.
  • Recruit agents for special opportunities such as new lead sources and alternative enrollment methods.
  • Develop and maintain a Team Roster of agents/agencies and support hierarchy relationships.
  • Update and maintain Contact Management System information, manage Team Roster, and update task lists.
  • Conduct webinars and display/introduce SMS technology tools.
  • Collaborate on special projects and serve on relevant committees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or a related field.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in the insurance industry or related fields such as financial services, marketing, web-based business, or call centers.
  • Life/Health Insurance license.
  • Working knowledge of insurance services industries and current knowledge of assigned product lines.
  • Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers.
  • Skill in negotiating and problem solving.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and MS Outlook.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities professionally and courteously.
  • Patience and emotional control in difficult situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and make decisions.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Qualifications
