Job Description

About the Role

The Corporate Social Media Communications Intern supports the work of the Executive Vice President, Chief Strategic and Corporate Communications Officer, and the communications team in telling the story of Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) to internal and external audiences. The role involves working in coordination with the marketing and communications teams across all MSE owned and operated brands, providing support for social media campaigns, content creation, and event coverage. MSE is a large integrated sports and entertainment company owning multiple sports teams, media platforms, venues, and entertainment venues, with a focus on community engagement, innovation, and creating memorable experiences for fans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of social media campaigns to effectively connect with MSE's digital audience.
  • Assist in managing MSE's social media content calendar and collaborate on creative narratives to improve digital interaction.
  • Collect real-time photo/video content at corporate events.
  • Develop and edit original graphics using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Track and report key performance indicators across MSE's corporate social channels.
  • Maintain departmental tracking grids (editorial calendar, upcoming conferences/awards).
  • Revise web content and maintain up-to-date websites.
  • Provide support for games, concerts, and live events at Capital One Arena and EagleBank Arena as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Related internships or college course work in digital media, marketing, public relations, communications, or sports management.
  • Working experience running social media accounts.
  • Strong background in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier).
  • Excellent writing skills and proven ability to produce long or short form content.
  • Shown ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and complete in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of sports business industry, current issues, and relevant topics.
  • Understanding of the overall branding and messaging goals of MSE.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with content management and social media analytics tools.
  • Previous experience in sports industry communications.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate or graduate student status.
