About the Role

FutureLab, the leading VC fund in Georgia, is seeking students interested in researching Silicon Valley VC funds and contributing to the development of an Investment Readiness Playbook for emerging-market startups, with a special focus on Central Eurasia. This playbook will help startups from emerging markets meet Silicon Valley VCs' expectations, bridging the gap between these regions and the global investment landscape. The role offers hands-on research experience, networking opportunities with Silicon Valley VCs and industry leaders, and the chance to contribute to a high-impact project that aims to shape the venture ecosystem in Georgia, Central Asia, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Research how best to connect Silicon Valley venture funds with startups from emerging markets.
Contribute to developing an Investment Readiness Playbook for emerging-market startups.
Engage in coordination meetings every week to discuss progress and strategies.
Participate in flexible hours commitment, up to 10 hours per month.

Requirements

Interest in venture capital, consulting, startups, and emerging markets.
Ability to commit up to 10 hours per month with flexible scheduling.
Willingness to participate in weekly coordination meetings at 7am (30-40 minutes).
Strong research skills and interest in investment ecosystems.

Nice to Have

Previous experience or knowledge related to venture capital or emerging markets.
Experience with research or consulting projects in startup ecosystems.
Interest in future collaboration with a VC fund.
