Job Description

About the Role

The Business Analyst defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related information technology requirements and systems for Parker Hannifin's Composite Sealing Systems Division in San Diego, California. They collaborate with subject matter experts and third-party IT vendors to lead or co-lead technology or regional IT projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and stakeholder expectations. The role involves driving operational excellence through IT solutions and supporting divisional digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of business processes and procedures to effectively identify and implement IT solutions that drive operational excellence.
  • Engage with key business partners to identify and validate opportunities, ensure alignment with business strategies, and define functional area roadmaps.
  • Lead project teams that analyze potential solutions based on business requirements, offer recommendations, and collaborate with users and peers to provide functional and technical support.
  • Contribute to and/or lead project teams developing or modifying highly complex information solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to develop roadmaps for core divisional digital solutions and optimize divisional reporting capabilities.
  • Develop and implement data quality improvement projects.
  • Build reporting and visualization competency throughout the division.
  • Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, information systems, or business.
  • 5+ years of related IT or business experience, preferably involving business analysis or project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in gathering, documenting, and supporting business requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, and perform detailed and repetitive tasks with accuracy.

  • Experience working with IT project management tools and digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools.
