About the Role

Manage infrastructure projects ranging from $100k to $1M, covering areas such as WAN / circuit connectivity for remote facilities, data center, building renovations, security architecture, network configuration and upgrades. Responsible for overseeing projects that may include outside vendors and managing those contracts. The role requires a proactive owner with accountability for project success in large corporate or enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage infrastructure projects ranging from $100k to $1M, including WAN / circuit connectivity, data center, building renovations, security architecture, network configuration and upgrades.
Manage projects that involve outside vendors and oversee vendor contracts.
Lead major projects in large corporate or enterprise environments with budgets of at least $3M and teams of at least 15 people.
Take ownership and accountability for project success, acting as a driver rather than a facilitator or coordinator.
Utilize waterfall / predictive methodologies for project management.
Develop project schedules and budget estimates, track progress against them, and report on project status.
Manage project risks effectively.
Handle vendor selection through RFP processes, negotiate SOW, and manage vendor performance.
Establish and maintain project governance plans, working with project sponsors, steering committees, and stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with all organization levels, including senior leadership.
Proficiently use Microsoft Project; experience with MS Project Online and SAP is beneficial.

Requirements

Prior IT Infrastructure Project Management experience handling large capital projects.
Experience with waterfall / predictive project management methodologies.
Experience establishing and maintaining project governance plans with sponsors and stakeholders.
Experience with vendor selection via RFP, SOW negotiation, and vendor performance management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency.

Nice to Have

Experience with Agile methodologies.
