IT Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with coordinating the development tasks, documentation, and metrics to deliver IT related solutions in support of Tech refresh activities on base.
• Manage and deliver IT projects within the DoD environment.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, and vendors to develop strategies and solutions of high business value.
• Coordinate and facilitate sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and demos.
• Translate technical information into understandable terms and examples.
• Empower team members to be fully functional and productive by working across roles and functions.
• Review and recommend solutions to remove barriers to progress and shield the team from external interference.
• Promote continuous improvement through operational reflections.
• Lead the team to resolve issues by engaging stakeholders and fostering a culture of tackling difficult questions.
• Share responsibility for the quality of work delivered by the team and hold team members accountable.
• Review and incorporate the latest best practices for agile implementation.
• Instill a sense of urgency, integrity, and team ownership towards commitments.
• Coach the team on estimation processes and participate in planning meetings.
• Help the team assess current executions and foster continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Project Management, Business, Computer Science, Technology, or related field.
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) - Required.
• DoD TS/SCI Clearance - Required.
• IAT Level II - Sec+ - Required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience implementing IT solutions, Tech refresh activities, and IT projects using Agile methodologies in a government environment.
• Experience in managing and delivering IT projects within the DoD environment.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.

Nice to Have

• PMP Certification.
• Experience with Agile practices and tools.
• Balanced business/technical background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• PMI-ACP certification.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Sec+ certification.
