IT Project Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with creation of project plans, considering scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation for initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders to ensure alignment with business strategies and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential risks and assist with the development of mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
• Encourage collaboration across project resources for optimal utilization and efficiency in achieving project goals.
• Assist with project budgets, expenditure monitoring, and ensure projects stay within budget guidelines.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular and comprehensive project status reports to department leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
• Coordinate the business case for each initiative with input from stakeholders, including project objectives, scope, timing, and resources.
• Assist with projects to achieve defined business outcomes and participate in cross-functional teams.
• Escalate risks as needed and learn assigned business functions, challenges, barriers, needs, and enabling processes and systems.
• Incorporate people change management and business process activities into the project plan to ensure adoption and sustainability.
• Monitor and communicate project costs and benefits with business owners and Finance.
• Maintain effective communication with project team and stakeholders, producing accurate status reports and decision logs.
• Occasionally travel for team meetings, stakeholder engagement, or as needed based on project demands.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on initiatives in the manufacturing sector.
• Experience with ERP Implementation projects is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with change management.
• Experience utilizing project management tools, Excel, Power BI, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project or similar.
• Experience with creating and presenting PowerPoint slide decks.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Project Management Certification (PMP).
• Experience with initiatives in the manufacturing sector.
• Experience with ERP Implementation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
