About the Role

Sunrock is looking for a results-driven IT Project Manager to lead and manage a variety of IT initiatives that support our business goals. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring our technology projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, initiating, and managing information technology projects across the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, navigate constraints, and drive each project to successful completion. The position requires strong technical expertise, effective communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset to support IT project delivery and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans detailing objectives, technologies, scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing.
  • Select, evaluate, and coordinate vendors or consultants aligned with project requirements.
  • Build and lead multidisciplinary project teams; define roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct needs assessments and identify risks, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including internal teams, leadership, vendors, and customers.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings; track milestones and deliverables.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure alignment with scope and timelines.
  • Monitor team performance and provide direction as needed.
  • Propose and implement modifications, enhancements, and improvements during the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing technology solutions that align with business goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive project and system documentation, including infrastructure and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaborate with department heads to assess IT process improvements.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting during project execution and daily operations.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management or a related role.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in environments utilizing Microsoft and cloud-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Analytical and critical-thinking skills to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in evaluating business processes and implementing technology solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with clarity and authority.
  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in project scope and direction.
  • Maintain a customer-service orientation in all interactions.
  • Work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management software and tools such as MS Project, Asana, Jira.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management.
