About the Role

The IT Project Manager will join a growing information technology team at Dorman, supporting significant business growth within the automotive industry. The role involves managing complex, cross-functional IT projects across various business functions and application platforms, with direct interaction with senior, technical, and functional managers. The position requires hands-on delivery leadership, project management using both traditional and agile methodologies, and may include business analyst functions related to defining business processes and system requirements. This is a hybrid role based at the corporate headquarters in Colmar, PA, with a minimum of three days onsite per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide project leadership, management and oversight throughout the phases of Dorman's solution delivery methodology: Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Deploy
  • Facilitate fact finding sessions with key business and IT staff to assess as-is capabilities, perform root cause analysis, define solution requirements, perform feasibility analyses, and define high-level solution alternatives and approaches
  • Prepare project proposals, business cases, and detailed project plans
  • Provide hands-on project management and actively manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes for all aspects of the project across all phases
  • Actively monitor, manage, and communicate key project control dimensions including scope, time, cost, resources, risk, dependencies, procurement, and quality
  • Develop and implement change management and communications plans to ensure solution adoption before, during, and after implementation
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of all project deliverables and develop, monitor, and manage project metrics including benefits capture
  • Work with executive and senior management to improve overall project delivery and support processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience managing matrixed project teams with onshore/offshore resource models
  • Previous business analysis and project management experience in a consumer products, manufacturing, or distribution environment
  • Experience with traditional project management methodologies and agile methodologies
  • Ability to manage projects involving business process, organizational, and IT solution components
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in managing complex IT projects and working with senior and technical managers
  • Experience with enterprise IT solutions such as SAP, Hyperion, Salesforce.com, SuccessFactors, Qlik, Business Objects is a plus
  • PMI certification desired but not required
  • Experience running or working in a PMO

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience
