About the Role

The IT Project Manager Intermediate at AdventHealth is responsible for managing large, complex information technology projects across multiple teams and stakeholders. The role involves developing and executing project plans, managing budgets and resources, ensuring quality standards, identifying and mitigating risks, and communicating project status to stakeholders. This position is part of AdventHealth's award-winning IT Department, which emphasizes community, growth, and holistic wellbeing, supporting the organization's mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets
Manage project budgets and allocate resources
Lead and manage project teams across multiple departments
Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed
Identify and mitigate project risks
Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
Manage project scope changes

Requirements

Bachelor's preferably in Business, Information Technology, or Healthcare or 5 years like experience
3 years of experience managing large, complex information technology projects
3 years of experience in development of effort scheduling utilizing 3-point estimation or PERT Analysis, resource request and allocation, resource management in a matrix environment, managing a portfolio of 3-5 cross-functional projects requiring vendor management
5 years of experience managing projects in healthcare or technology using standard project management concepts
Strong analytical, creative, implicative, strategic, and tactical thinking skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Portfolio Management Professional (PMP) certification or all waterfall project managers must obtain it within 12 months
Agile certification (Certified Scrum Master, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, or Certified Safe Scrum Master) required for all agile scrum masters, with certification obtained within 12 months

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or Healthcare (preferred) or 5 years of relevant experience
3 years of experience managing large, complex IT projects
3 years of experience with effort scheduling, resource management, and vendor management
5 years of project management experience in healthcare or technology
Project management certification (PMP or Agile certifications)
