IT Project Manager, Tier 1 (DMWBD)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of a Salesforce SaaS project including execution, monitoring, delivery, and maintenance.
• Act as the primary internal liaison between ESD stakeholders and the SaaS vendor, ensuring contract and SOW compliance, and translating business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Collaborate with the vendor project manager to align on timelines, deliverables, and resource planning; escalate and resolve issues as needed.
• Schedule and lead project meetings with the internal project team, third-party vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Utilize ESD's project management tools to manage project scope, tasks, costs, schedules, documentation, and deliverables.
• Assist in the collection, analysis, and documentation of business and resource requirements.
• Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Monitor and track progress of all action items related to the project, including deadlines and task assignments.
• Prepare project reports for ESD management and stakeholders.
• Organize, develop, and maintain project documentation including workflow diagrams, user guides, training materials, and security documentation.
• Ensure the project is managed within the guidelines set by IT policies.
• Assist with ESD Disaster Recovery efforts, testing, and documentation.
• Perform other related duties and/or projects as directed by IT Management.
• Work onsite and/or remotely consistent with NYS and ESD guidelines and needs.

Requirements

• BA in an IT related discipline with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a related field; or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience; or equivalent experience and/or education.
• Experience in IT Project Management with varying methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
• Strong knowledge of Information Technology.
• Ability to problem-solve, analyze data, and develop detailed reports.
• Proficiency with project management systems and MS 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people at both a functional and technical level.

Nice to Have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.) is a plus.

• Salary range from $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
