About the Role

The IT Program Manager has primary responsibility for defining, planning, tracking and managing technology projects, identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order to meet assigned program objectives. Utilizes necessary resources and skills to produce program deliverables within agreed cost, timescale, and quality parameters. Plays a role in program strategy, planning, monitoring and control, relationship management, and providing advice and guidance. The IT Program manager is the lead point of contact for the program. As the IT Program Manager for Cybersecurity, you will be responsible for developing and managing complex projects and programs to expedite deployment of critical cybersecurity controls into production, managing communications across stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams, and establishing strategic network security programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, track, and manage technology projects and programs, including developing strategic milestones, metrics, dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
  • Lead complex technical project plans to deploy critical cybersecurity controls into production to strengthen security posture.
  • Develop and communicate program objectives, priorities, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities of project teams to meet milestones and objectives, analyzing performance and making adjustments as needed.
  • Manage budgets, track progress, and proactively handle scope, schedule, and cost changes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, establish contingency plans, and act as primary escalator for program issues.
  • Foster relationships with technical leads, operations, network engineering, and application owners.
  • Develop policies and procedures to support onboarding, deployment, and lifecycle risk reduction.
  • Communicate effectively with senior executives and stakeholders, providing status updates and managing escalations.
  • Mentor team members and external stakeholders on project management best practices.
  • Participate in vendor selection, negotiation, and advise on project planning and risk management.
  • Build long-term strategic relationships with senior business and IT stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to project delivery standards, processes, and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics or Cyber Security.
  • 5-8 years' experience in cybersecurity and managing complex cybersecurity projects and programs.
  • Experience managing technology projects using methodologies such as waterfall, agile, or iterative.
  • Experience working directly with business owners on multiple technology projects.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems using technical understanding and cybersecurity experience.
  • Experience with design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-volume software systems and client-facing web applications (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or similar (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of project management processes including planning, risk management, issues management, time, and financial management.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components.
  • Certifications such as Portfolio Management Professional (PMP), CISSP, Agile Certified Professional (ACP), or Certified Scrum Master.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
