IT Tech Project Mgr II

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Works with cross-functional teams to identify and document a project plan from design through delivery, including tasks, resources, roles, responsibilities, deliverables, milestones, timelines, dependencies, stakeholders, and risk mitigation.
• Ensures adequate resource availability and allocation for projects in collaboration with IT teams.
• Identifies inter-team and inter-project dependencies and aligns project timelines and milestones accordingly.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates project status, progression, and spend against the project plan to appropriate teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Identifies, communicates, and facilitates resolution to project issues, escalations, and risks.
• Owns the technical project change process, including documenting, communicating, managing change requests, and facilitating change approvals.
• Supports IT resource planning and resource allocation across projects and activities.
• Participates in IT team project activities and may serve as Scrum Master, conduct post-project retrospectives, and document process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or administration field or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of experience in project management or program management for technical projects.
• Proficiency in project planning software.
• Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
• Knowledge of various IT project methodologies and life cycles (e.g., agile, waterfall).
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines.
• Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with executive-level clients.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to manage moderate to significant mental stress and adapt to a dynamic workload.

• PMP certification.
• Knowledge of the workers compensation industry.
• Knowledge of the company's products and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of project management or program management experience in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with project planning software.
