Key Responsibilities

  • Strategize, build and execute automated lifecycle marketing journeys and one-off campaigns across all CRM channels (including email, SMS, and Push) to drive new subscribers.
  • Focus primarily on our Play business, BarkBox and SuperChewer, while influencing overall CRM efforts across all lines of business (BarkBox, SuperChewer, Bright, Air, Eats) and their customer journeys.
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate tests, analyze results, and develop insights to improve acquisition and win-back conversion rates.
  • Develop customer segmentation, targeting, and contact strategies to maximize conversion rate and LTV/CAC.
  • Create prospect nurture programs to ensure long-term engagement for our growing customer base.
  • Maintain high standards for marketing creative and copy across lifecycle campaigns, partnering with internal teams and the creative team to achieve key business results.
  • Articulate and share insights on what resonates with customers, owning KPI reporting with weekly and monthly updates, and sharing results with senior leadership.
  • Serve as an in-house expert in lifecycle marketing strategies and help shape efforts to improve and expand these initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in email/SMS marketing for DTC businesses with a focus on converting prospects and churned customers.
  • Experience building communications programs through CRM and/or marketing automation systems (Klaviyo, Attentive, Shopify, Monday, Simon Data, Braze, Iterable, HubSpot or similar platform).
  • Experience working with Looker or Tableau is a plus.
  • Strong skills in analyzing product metrics and extracting actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be resourceful, and possess strong creative sensibilities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including brief building and process development with creative and social teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading.
  • Self-starter with the ability to execute tasks and recommend modifications for efficiency.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and love for dogs.
  • Experience or interest in artificial intelligence and openness to learning AI tools is highly valued.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Looker or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Illustrator, or other design tools.
  • Experience using AI tools.
