Job Description

About the Role

Meet Upside: We created Upside to transform brick-and-mortar commerce. Our technology uses the sophistication of online retail-profit measurement, attribution, and incrementality-to provide users with more value on their everyday purchases and brick-and-mortar businesses with new, profitable customers. We've helped millions of users earn 2 to 3 times more cashback than any other product, and hundreds of thousands of brick-and-mortar businesses earn measurable profit. Billions of dollars in commerce run through the Upside platform every year, and that value goes directly back to our retailer partners, the consumers they serve, and important sustainability initiatives.

  • Design and optimize customer journeys by identifying critical touchpoints and difficulties, building seamless and personalized experiences to deepen engagement.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, in-app messaging, push notifications, and other touchpoints.
  • Own budget management and execution of bonus and incentive programs that fuel user behavior, aligning strategies with seasonal, merchant, and promotional priorities.
  • Collaborate with teams within the consumer marketing organization and across Upside, including Acquisition, Product Marketing, Research & Insights, Coordinated Marketing, and Analytics.
  • Partner with teams across the organization, such as the Merchant team, to prioritize and execute Retail-Go-To-Market and Merchant Partner Programs.
  • Drive automation, personalization, and innovation in lifecycle infrastructure, leveraging experimentation, user segmentation, and emerging tools to improve program effectiveness and scale.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Lifecycle Marketing and CRM, with a proven track record of increasing consumer engagement and retention in a relevant B2C/consumer industry.
  • 4+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep expertise in customer retention, marketing operations, and marketing automation.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Deep functional knowledge of marketing engagement platforms such as Iterable, Braze, Hubspot, and proficiency in SQL and Google Sheets.
  • Data-first decision-making skills with a test-and-learn approach, outstanding analytical and critical thinking abilities, and capacity to interpret data into practical insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build impactful partnerships across diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
