About the Role

Patreon is a media and community platform where over 300,000 creators give their biggest fans access to exclusive work and experiences. We offer creators a variety of ways to engage with their communities and build a lasting business including: paid memberships, free memberships, community chats, live experiences, and selling to fans directly with one-time purchases. Our goal is to fund the creative class, and we are leaders in that space with over $8 billion in revenue generated, 60 million+ free memberships, and 10 million+ paying fans monthly. We are investing heavily in building the best creator platform and are looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to support our mission. This role is based in New York or San Francisco and is open to those able to work in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing creator personas and messaging frameworks for different types of email journeys
  • Building lifecycle strategies aligned to quarterly goals, product releases, and insights from campaign performance
  • Designing and executing onboarding, adoption, and re-engagement journeys
  • Creating urgency-based messaging tactics to increase product usage and earnings
  • Owning our experimentation calendar—developing hypotheses, A/B testing subject lines, CTAs, and messaging paths, and learning fast
  • Building out a complete midmarket creator lifecycle and owning its end-to-end performance
  • Cross-functionally shaping how we communicate with creators at scale and ensuring messaging strategies are connected to company goals

Requirements

  • Built and launched email campaigns from end to end: strategy, copy, segmentation, testing, and deployment
  • Deep understanding of behavioral science and how to apply it in messaging
  • Designed persona-based journeys and tailored messaging to drive action across different user types
  • Experience with lifecycle marketing strategy—from mapping customer journeys to setting up automated flows
  • Data-informed and results-obsessed—designs experiments, measures what matters, and iterates quickly
  • Ability to lead and own a roadmap of lifecycle experiments tied to company and creator growth goals
  • Passion for helping creators earn more doing what they love

Nice to Have

  • Experience working cross-functionally with product and marketing teams
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools and automation platforms
  • Experience in the creator economy or with digital content platforms
