Headquartered in Fremont, California, with additional locations across the US, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, the company emphasizes certified technician training, industry innovation, and strategic partnerships with hyperscale technology firms and multi-tenant data center operators. The role of Logistics Manager - Data Centers involves supporting project logistics, procurement, and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of materials necessary for data center projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzes BOMs to evaluate, research, and attain all procured materials for respective projects.
  • Creates a systematic approach to ordering materials to minimize inventory level and shipping costs.
  • Creates a positive working relationship with materials vendors.
  • Assists with the bidding process by offering pricing schedules of relevant supplies and materials.
  • Manages supply-chain issues with suppliers to ensure on-time product availability.
  • Documents and organizes deliveries and product returns.
  • Manages and executes purchase orders.
  • Maintains purchase order confirmations.
  • Manages special orders.
  • Tracks shipments from purchase order to delivery and manages all shipping charges.
  • Develops tools and procedures to improve the procurement cycle.
  • Provides courteous, professional service to customers.
  • Manages project logistics functions including storage, receiving, inventory, disposition, and shipping of materials.
  • Partners with organizational operations team to drive efficient logistics and material management processes.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Integrated Financial Systems and/or ERP Software such as Commerce Center or J.D. Edwards is preferred.
  • Relevant product knowledge.
  • Prior negotiating experience helpful.
  • Experience working with Copper/Fiber Optic Testing/Cabling Standards is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • CPM or advanced education in Purchasing, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Previous experience in the datacenter industry.

Qualifications

  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
