About the Role

Are you looking for an exciting Co-Op/Internship opportunity full of meaningful, diverse, and challenging assignments working alongside industry leading professionals? You will be part of a driven, and collaborative team completing important projects while receiving the mentorship, knowledge, and experience to develop the skills you need to build an exciting career. This posting is for all Downstream Commercial student positions in Dublin, OH. The program offers hands-on work experience, networking events, mentorship, structured goal setting, and opportunities to present work-term learnings to leadership. Candidates may receive relocation support and must have their own transportation. Cenovus is an integrated energy company committed to safe, responsible, and cost-efficient operations across multiple regions and sectors, including oil sands, crude oil, natural gas, and refining.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily management of all logistical functions including fleet planning, product scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Provide analytical support to understand logistics movements, costs, and performance.
  • Develop standard reports and respond to data requests.
  • Participate in operational and planning meetings with the Logistics team and other functional groups.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, data models, and visualizations in Power BI and R for market analytics and strategy formulation.
  • Maintain market analytics tools and libraries used to forecast supply and demand balances.
  • Support back-up coverage for refined products market analysts.
  • Develop and maintain standard reports, ensuring timely responses to ad hoc data requests.
  • Automate report generation and data delivery to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support economic, pricing, and forecasting functions with data-driven analysis.
  • Perform in-depth market studies, statistical analyses, and identify key trends and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. full-time for the duration of the work term and able to produce documentation (e.g., work visa).
  • Available to begin work in January 2026 or May 2026.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Solid analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program (Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Marketing preferred) at an accredited post-secondary institution, returning to full-time studies after the work term, or registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in a Masters or Ph.D. program may also be considered.
  • Own means of transportation (no public transportation in field locations).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data pipelines, data models, and data visualization tools like Power BI and R.
  • Experience in logistics, market analytics, or data analytics roles.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Business Undergraduate Program or registered in a co-op/internship program at an accredited institution.
  • Current enrollment in a Masters or Ph.D. program may be considered.
  • Must be returning to full-time studies after the work term.
