About the Role

The Manager- BI Data at TK Elevator Corporation is responsible for managing the delivery of comprehensive Power BI solutions and ad-hoc analytics within the finance organization. The role involves supporting leadership decision-making by developing insightful reports and dashboards, supporting BI transformation efforts, and collaborating with various business units and IT teams to enable data-driven insights. The position requires a deep understanding of Power BI, data modeling, and the full BI lifecycle, with a focus on solving complex business problems through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of Power BI deliverables.
  • Oversee daily workload management, including backlog reviews and prioritization of team tasks.
  • Provide ongoing support to the team throughout the development lifecycle by removing obstacles and ensuring steady progress toward key objectives.
  • Create and present ad-hoc business analysis in support of business leadership.
  • Mentor and coach BI developers and teammates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Manage the delivery coordination of Power BI solutions that meet and exceed the needs of various business stakeholders, including designing and building complex BI solutions.
  • Support the transformation from Excel-based reporting to Power BI dashboards, developing new reports and replacing existing ones.
  • Enhance Power BI dashboards to capture exceptions and drive actionable insights.
  • Manage work intake and prioritization across the team.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical needs and translate them into Power BI solutions.
  • Advocate for Power BI adoption and promote a data-driven culture through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Rigorously test applications for functionality and data accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot and support end-users to improve report consumption.
  • Develop training materials and guides to optimize Power BI usage.
  • Partner with Data Enablement team to maintain and optimize Data Warehouse and Data Lake structures, working with data storage, SQL Server, and Power BI connection options.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization efforts within the organization.
  • Provide hands-on project leadership on multiple projects as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IT systems, reports, and business processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Proven track record in leading BI projects.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching BI Developers.
  • Expertise in Power BI.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on mentoring and developing talent.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, and project management skills.
  • Preferred: MBA or Master Degree.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, CRM, EPM Cloud, or other financial reporting software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling, analysis, and reporting.
