Key Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver compelling sales pitches to prospective merchants to establish new destinations and/or verticals for Klook.
  • Negotiate with new merchants to ensure successful onboarding, including meeting onboarding standards and supply strength metrics, to help surpass goals.
  • Identify ideal suppliers to join the Klook platform to expand offerings and develop a competitive supply product portfolio.
  • Develop, manage, and nurture a sustainable acquisition pipeline to achieve successful business outcomes.
  • Utilize internal and external resources to conduct comprehensive market research, identify new opportunities, and formulate go-to-market strategies.
  • Deliver insights on market trends and competitor updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage a designated destination and/or vertical by gathering key insights, establishing relationships with stakeholders, and representing Klook within the destination/vertical.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work with internal teams, external partners, and clients.
  • Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with merchants and partners, understanding their strategic priorities, pain points, decision makers, KPIs, and competitors' actions.
  • Flexibility and resilience to navigate changing market dynamics, overcome obstacles, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ownership mentality with accountability for tasks, projects, or initiatives, and the ability to drive results.
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills for addressing merchant needs and overcoming sales obstacles.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in sales, business development, or account management within the travel or experiences industry.
  • Knowledge of market research and go-to-market strategy formulation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, or related roles.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and negotiate with partners or clients.
