Manager, Business Development - Body Worn Solutions

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and sustain sales strategies via a dynamic playbook in collaboration and alignment with business area sales leadership
• Hire, train and develop a high-performing outside sales team delivering incremental value to sales regions
• Lead by example in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships while consistently achieving ambitious revenue targets
• Foster a collaborative, cross-functional team environment while driving individual and team performance through mentorship and strategic guidance
• Lead the team in proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while maintaining Axis sales practices and work-life balance
• Create and analyze sales dashboards, reports and performance metrics
• Manage and report on the sales team’s forecast, pipeline and probability
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between business development, sales, marketing and other departments
• Update leadership on sales and pending goals regularly

Requirements

• Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
• Proven leadership skills with an ability to manage short-term deliverables and long-term business strategy
• Proactive, innovative, and passionate individual with awareness of industry, market intelligence and trends
• Ability to work with sales team to close large projects
• Strong cultural & emotional intelligence and ability to balance competitive drive with empathetic leadership
• Results-driven mindset, flexible & adaptable
• Excellent negotiation & influence skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
• Salesforce experience
• Microsoft 365 suite experience
• 8+ years in sales and 5+ years in sales management with experience leading virtual teams
• Knowledge of RFP process and state contracts

Nice to Have

• MBA or Masters degree in related field
• Familiarity with a channel sales model
• Knowledge of the physical security industry and body worn solutions
• Knowledge of market segments including public safety, healthcare, education & retail

Qualifications

• 8+ years in sales and 5+ years in sales management with experience leading virtual teams
