About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the data and analytics capabilities of Horizon Next by leading data modeling and reporting efforts to make data accessible throughout the organization.
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve current data & analytics processes and develop new capabilities that differentiate the company in the marketplace.
• Identify ways to improve and expand Horizon Next's data and analytics infrastructure.
• Drive education and adoption of data products across teams by acting as a liaison between the Analytics team and other internal teams on data sources, access, and reporting.
• Educate non-technical team members on data products and how to use data effectively for decision-making.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and create meaningful KPIs for media campaigns.
• Manage and mentor Business Intelligence Analysts and Senior Analysts, guiding best practices and supporting their development.
• Oversee junior team members to ensure project requirements are clear and deadlines are met.
• Enhance team skills by creating and implementing new processes and tools for scalable, reusable, and automatable data solutions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a similar field.
• 2-3 years of experience in media, advertising, or a related industry.
• 3-4 years of experience using SQL in a work environment, with a focus on code readability and reusability.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• 1-2 years of managing and mentoring junior team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of or background in media, advertising, or direct-response industries.
• Interest in building processes, automation, and tooling rather than just providing insights.
• Ability to work with non-technical users to define business requirements and KPIs and translate those into code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Git or a similar version control system.
• Experience with Python or a similar programming language.
• Experience with Presto, Hive, or Spark SQL.
• Experience with BI or dashboard tools like Tableau, Looker, or Domo.
• Experience with dbt (data build tool).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field.
