About the Role

As a member of the Deli Customer Planning team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of strategic product marketing and customer-centric campaigns for deli prepared foods, with a strong emphasis on the sandwich category. This is an exciting opportunity to create impactful customer plans and promotions, partner closely with business units and operations, and support customer-facing initiatives. Your efforts will be focused on driving volume growth and delivering against key strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and contribute to long-range and annual planning processes for customer and product strategic plans
  • Lead strategic and tactical marketing solutions across brands and categories to support operating results
  • Manage the marketing calendar, including consumer-facing activations, print and digital campaigns, and customer specific point-of-sale materials
  • Assist in building and tracking the annual deli channel marketing budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets and compliance
  • Oversee the execution of regional trade shows, promotional activities, and communication strategies
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and creative teams to develop sales tools, promotional assets, and tradeshow materials
  • Support the sales team with retail strategies and pricing, including cross functional collaboration with supply chain, revenue management, business units, and demand planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or agriculture or other related discipline
  • 5 years' experience in deli, foodservice, or retail marketing or sales strategy & planning
  • Standard computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must work effectively in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Experience in customer or strategic planning
  • Financial acumen with focus on growing top and bottom line
  • Experience leading and working cross-functionally
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with sales team and external customers to drive business results
  • Strong focus on customer including consumer and customer needs
  • Travel: 5-10 trips per year

  • Educational background in business, marketing, finance, agriculture, or related discipline
