About the Role

The Manager, Content Delivery at Dow Jones is responsible for leading a team of Delivery Managers across different time zones to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions to clients. The role involves managing team performance, client interactions, quality assurance of newsletters, coordinating with service providers, supporting client onboarding, and driving workflow efficiencies through automation and process improvements. The position reports to the Senior Director, Factiva Content, and requires a professional attitude in a client-facing environment with strong communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Delivery Managers across different time zones to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Provide regular and transparent communication of team objectives and goals.
  • Hire, supervise, support, and develop team members to maximize potential through motivation, coaching, counseling, and delegation.
  • Act as a key representative of the Content Curation team in dealings with clients, particularly strategic clients, working with partners in Sales and Product.
  • Ensure My Company Today (MCT) newsletters meet client requirements in terms of content quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
  • Perform testing of new or enhanced system and product functionality.
  • Coordinate with service providers and key vendors to guarantee daily operational responsibilities, improve workflow, and assess the quality of deliverables.
  • Contribute to the onboarding and support of clients, including creating, maintaining, and testing guidelines and tools.
  • Maintain key performance indicators measuring the effectiveness and quality of newsletters.
  • Provide support for Factiva, including web maintenance and creating/updating expert searches and trending topics.
  • Assist in planning resources for assignments and large ad hoc projects with the Risk & Research Services management team.
  • Drive change to existing workflows and methodologies to create efficiencies and quality improvements with shared benefits across the global team.
  • Support training of future team members.
  • Ensure team members adhere to Dow Jones' and client policies and procedures.
  • Write and proofread Due Diligence reports when required.
  • Support R&C with translation services as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with senior management, team members, and peer groups.
  • People management skills.
  • A professional attitude in a client-facing environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
  • Current news awareness and solid news judgment.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Knowledge of Boolean search techniques.
  • Team leadership experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience with Factiva, Dow Jones Risk and Compliance, or similar products (preferred).
  • Automation and data visualization skills (a plus).
