About the Role

The Manager, Digital and Programmatic is responsible for executing media campaigns for clients within dentsu Media US. This role involves ensuring efficient campaign completion, performing data analysis, communicating optimizations, managing daily pacing and performance checks, and collaborating with account teams to craft presentations and reports. The position requires in-depth knowledge of digital media buying platforms and a client-facing communication style. It is a temporary, remote role based in Los Angeles, with a focus on programmatic and digital media buying within a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of campaigns across channels in platform and with direct partners.
  • Prioritize and guide a team to accomplish tasks efficiently, ensuring seamless campaign execution.
  • Provide oversight of plans to ensure optimizations and pacing are delivering expected performance.
  • Analyze data to interpret results and communicate insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Ensure pre-launch and post-launch QA processes are properly completed for all campaigns.
  • Steward day-to-day team operations and workflows.
  • Collaborate with all other teams to complete joint presentations and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Manage RFP process; review proposals, negotiate media plans, and develop tactical recommendations showcasing strong rationale and innovative thinking.
  • Assist with proposals and overarching campaign strategy, demonstrating exceptional project management.
  • Maintain up-to-date proficiency with buying platforms and technology required to execute programmatic campaigns and plan/book direct campaigns.
  • Demonstrate understanding of audience strategy and ability to interpret and implement in-platform.
  • Assist with pixel and tag generation, implementation, and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the digital media ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, data partners, and third-party ad verification partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years' experience within the digital and programmatic industry.
  • Experience across programmatic technology platforms and omnichannel DSPs such as DV360, TTD, Xandr, Google Ads, Yahoo, and others.
  • Experience with industry & ad technology platforms, such as ad servers (e.g., CM360), ad verification platforms (e.g., DoubleVerify, IAS), Mediaocean, Prisma, or similar planning/financial platforms.
  • Advanced understanding of industry trends and challenges, such as SPO and cookieless environments.
  • Experience with troubleshooting/auditing PMP/PG deals.
  • Experience in developing and training junior team members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Collaboration mindset and team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to retain professionalism in all situations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management and follow-through skills.
  • Proactive work ethic and solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications
