About the Role

The Manager of Digital Marketing at RPM is responsible for championing the digital marketing evolution across a portfolio of companies within RPM International. This role involves providing expert advice, creating and activating digital marketing strategies that drive measurable growth, and supporting businesses in leveraging digital channels, tools, and technologies to enhance their market position. The position reports to the Vice President of Digital Strategy and works within a small team of digital experts supporting RPM's consumer group and its various business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with leaders and teams across RPM companies to reimagine and elevate growth strategies by leveraging digital marketing initiatives, channels, and technology to connect deeply with users, build brand loyalty, and drive sustainable sales growth.
  • Offer expert consulting services across RPM's businesses, assessing existing digital marketing practices, systems, and capabilities to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Create customized and scalable digital marketing recommendations that enhance personalized experiences, leverage insights and data, and optimize the user journey across all digital touchpoints.
  • Guide businesses in crafting modern, results-driven digital initiatives across social media, email, search engines, and display advertising, ensuring engagement and strategic connection between digital and traditional marketing.
  • Analyze and recommend digital channels for each business's audience and goals to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Create recommendations for social media presence, content creation, and engagement strategies for platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.
  • Advise on best practices for creating, curating, and managing engaging content tailored to target audiences, ensuring consistency in tone and branding.
  • Create recommendations to optimize digital content for search engine visibility, including SEO and SEM campaigns such as PPC efforts.
  • Evaluate and advise on the optimization of paid advertising efforts across platforms like Google, Bing, Amazon, and other digital marketplaces to improve targeting and ROAS.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations to optimize company websites for usability, mobile responsiveness, and search engine visibility.
  • Develop strategies to generate and nurture leads through digital channels.
  • Use analytics to inform digital marketing recommendations, establishing KPIs for campaigns and initiatives.
  • Advise on building meaningful digital relationships that foster loyalty and satisfaction through personalized experiences.
  • Guide and monitor the execution of digital marketing recommendations, encouraging ongoing optimization.
  • Share digital marketing expertise through teaching, workshops, and training to benefit RPM companies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in digital marketing or related roles.
  • Proven experience designing digital marketing strategies across multiple business units or brands.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, user journey optimization, analytics, in both B2C and B2B segments (preferred).
  • Google Analytics and Amazon Ads Certification.
  • Experience managing paid advertising campaigns across Amazon and Google platforms, including Performance Max, Search, Display, and others.
  • Ability to communicate complex digital concepts in straightforward, actionable terms.
  • A collaborative approach that empowers others and builds partnerships.
  • Passion for exploring new tools, trends, and solutions in digital marketing, including emerging technologies like generative AI.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to share digital concepts clearly and foster teamwork.

Nice to Have

  • Expertise in digital user journey optimization & relationship development.
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B segments.
  • Past success partnering with diverse teams to deliver high-impact results.
  • Knowledge of emerging digital tools, trends, and platforms, including generative AI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 3-5 years' professional experience in digital marketing or related roles.

  • Salary range of $125,000 - $140,000 plus bonus eligibility.
