You're part of a community, invested in you as an individual and united by our mission to create opportunities for people where they live, learn and work. Nelnet Business Services (NBS) is seeking a strategic, tech-savvy Manager I, Revenue Operations to lead the marketing systems, processes, and data infrastructure that support scalable growth across our sales and marketing engine. This role blends deep marketing operations expertise with broader RevOps collaboration, ensuring seamless lead flow, unified reporting, and operational alignment between marketing, sales, and customer success. You'll be the primary owner of our marketing tech stack and play a key role in designing integrated systems that support demand generation, PLG, and sales-led initiatives across multiple verticals and business units. You'll oversee a team focused on marketing automation, campaign operations, and marketing intelligence, while contributing to a holistic revenue operations framework that spans the full customer lifecycle. This role works cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Sales, Product, and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (RevOps, Product Marketing, Creative, and Content) to streamline campaign execution, reporting, and feedback loops.
  • Define and maintain lead scoring, routing, and lifecycle models to support both product-led growth and sales-led motions in alignment with revenue goals.
  • Build and maintain performance dashboards and attribution models, driving visibility into the marketing funnel, CAC, ROAS, and MQL-to-pipeline conversion.
  • Translate analytics and performance insights into recommendations that inform campaign optimization and marketing budget allocation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (RevOps, Sales, and Customer Success) to unify processes, reporting, SLAs, and customer journey workflows across the revenue organization.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on marketing operations and analytics, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, or revenue operations.
  • 3+ years of experience in people management or team leadership.
  • Proven success in B2B SaaS or EdTech, with experience supporting both sales-led and PLG motions.
  • Deep understanding of marketing automation platforms (HubSpot required), CRM systems (e.g., Creatio, Salesforce), and integration tools (e.g., Zapier).
  • Strong knowledge of campaign architecture, funnel optimization, and lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Proficient in using analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and managing compliance (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
  • Familiarity with RevOps principles, reverse ETL tools, CDPs, and data interoperability best practices.
  • Proficient in funnel analytics, campaign measurement, and lead management frameworks.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and scalable solutions.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, distributed teams with multiple stakeholders.
